The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hocine Brahami during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Waldorf AFC's Hocine Brahami got a free kick in the 13th minute. After having played for 15 minutes, Fodil Hamdoud managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gahanna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fodil Hamdoud was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Gahanna's zone, Ahmed Reda Otman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zīn ud-Dīn Assad came out of the goal and Ahmed Reda Otman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gahanna's Zīn ud-Dīn Assad proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Gahanna from getting a goal against them. Gahanna's Zīn ud-Dīn Assad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hocine Amrouche in the 28th minute of play. Nordine Messaoudi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fodil Hamdoud's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Waldorf AFC's Nordine Messaoudi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fodil Hamdoud in the 34th minute of play. Zīn ud-Dīn Assad acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 42nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Karim Kader. After a rather tough play, Gahanna's Mamaar Hamouda got a free kick in the 43rd minute. 44 minutes into the match, Waldorf AFC's Bendjedid Morceli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zīn ud-Dīn Assad narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Gahanna's Zīn ud-Dīn Assad got control of the ball when Ahmed Reda Otman tried to sneak it across the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hocine Amrouche to strike the kick off in the second half. Zīn ud-Dīn Assad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hocine Amrouche in the 51st minute of the match. In the 54th minute, Mohamed Semghoun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hocine Amrouche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Zīn ud-Dīn Assad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Gahanna's goal looked a bit too open when Hocine Amrouche came free, but Zīn ud-Dīn Assad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hocine Amrouche in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zīn ud-Dīn Assad saved Gahanna from getting behind. After 65 minutes, Fathi Bouazza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gahanna and the Waldorf AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 65th minute, Fathi Bouazza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 66 minutes into the match, Gahanna's goal looked a bit too open when Hocine Amrouche came free, but Zīn ud-Dīn Assad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute, Bellemou Achiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rachid Benbitour struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Nordine Messaoudi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gahanna. Fodil Hamdoud blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nordine Messaoudi having to make a save. Fodil Hamdoud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Waldorf AFC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Yazid Moll hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Waldorf AFC's zone, Rachid Benbitour stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nordine Messaoudi came out of the goal and Rachid Benbitour tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 84 minutes, Yazid Moll mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Waldorf AFC and the Gahanna players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rachid Benbitour fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nordine Messaoudi having to interfere. In the 94th minute Rachid Benbitour shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nordine Messaoudi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Gahanna players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Waldorf AFC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
