The crowd rose to their feet as Glenolden's Nouara Mamouni slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Abdulhamid Zidān. That made the score 1-0 after 5 minutes of play. Cheb Zaoui's late challenge caught a Lakeland South's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cheb Zaoui helped the player get up and apologised. Ali Hamdani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Abdellah Larfaoui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hakim Bella struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Abdulhamid Zidān didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Glenolden. If Nouara Mamouni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mehdi Zakaria hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Abdulhamid Zidān showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hakim Bella in the 34th minute of the match. If Ali Hamdani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 47 minutes, Hakim Bella managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Glenolden's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hakim Bella was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 54th minute of the match Glenolden got a corner. Lakeland South's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Abdelaziz Oussar ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Abdelaziz Oussar almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Lakeland South's Abdulhamid Zidān did a great save. When Lakeland South's Daho Zeghdoud in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Glenolden's goalie prevented a goal. In the 58th minute Hakim Bella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdulhamid Zidān saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ali Hamdani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daho Zeghdoud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Glenolden's Abdellah Larfaoui got control of the ball when Ali Hamdani tried to sneak it across the goal line. Abdellah Larfaoui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daho Zeghdoud in the 67th minute of play. Despite being the better team, Lakeland South failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
