When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fadhil Belloumi made a kick off. In the 61st minute of the match, Fadhil Belloumi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Amar Doutté saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Kader Benzine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cheikha Zaaboub, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chaba Bougherra charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chaba Bougherra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Faouzi Medjiba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
