The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fathi Piaf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oakland's Karim Hadjadj got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rachid Kourichi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boudjemaa Medaci in the 10th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Nordine Liegeon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Oakland's Mohammed Ahmed Halimi got a free kick in the 13th minute. Mehdi Bitat hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. René Brahmi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fathi Piaf in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fathi Piaf in the 19th minute of play forced Oakland's goalkeeper René Brahmi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rachid Kourichi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boudjemaa Medaci, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Rachid Kourichi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boudjemaa Medaci in the 25th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mohammed Ahmed Halimi during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mohammed Ahmed Halimi hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Karim Hadjadj received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. A collision led to West Wendover getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Mimoun Assad hit a great ball. Rachid Madjer hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Fathi Piaf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. René Brahmi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fathi Piaf to strike the kick off in the second half. West Wendover's Fathi Piaf got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Karim Hadjadj struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Rachid Kourichi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oakland. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind West Wendover's goalkeeper Rachid Kourichi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Cheb Djeziri fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oakland's protests and gave Cheb Djeziri a yellow card for diving instead. In the 59th minute, Cheb Djeziri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fathi Piaf in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck René Brahmi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. West Wendover's Rachid Kourichi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boudjemaa Medaci in the 63rd minute of play. René Brahmi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fathi Piaf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rachid Kourichi was out of position in the 68 minute of play, and Boudjemaa Medaci capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Boudjemaa Medaci really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. In the 83rd minute Boudjemaa Medaci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rachid Kourichi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Oakland booed when West Wendover was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nordine Hammad didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karim Hadjadj fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rachid Kourichi having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Oakland eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
