Mourad Khalef sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kamel Zerara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Faouzi Menguellet made a huge save. A collision led to Mount Holly getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Fateh Reda Madouni hit a great ball. In the 15th minute, Mouloud Mimoun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 16 minutes, Smail Aarache mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mount Holly and the Carrizo Springs FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Mount Holly's Smail Aarache got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 22nd minute, Mourad Khalef made a precise shot to the right of Yazid Mérah-Benida. Carrizo Springs FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. When Fouad Cohen-Tannoudji fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mount Holly's protests and gave Fouad Cohen-Tannoudji a yellow card for diving instead. After 25 played minutes Mount Holly got a freekick which was hit by Fouad Cohen-Tannoudji. Mourad Khalef fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yazid Mérah-Benida having to interfere. Mouloud Mimoun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Faouzi Menguellet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Mounir Benflis fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carrizo Springs FC's protests and gave Mounir Benflis a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Mount Holly booed when Carrizo Springs FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mounir Benflis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mourad Khalef recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Rachid Teissier came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Mount Holly fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rachid Teissier couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Mourad Khalef managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mount Holly's supporters rose to their feet, but Mourad Khalef was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yazid Mérah-Benida breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Carrizo Springs FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Rachid Laref hit a great ball. Carrizo Springs FC's Yazid Mérah-Benida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rachid Teissier in the 49th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mouloud Mimoun stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Yazid Mérah-Benida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fouad Cohen-Tannoudji, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 54 minutes into the match, Carrizo Springs FC's goalkeeper Yazid Mérah-Benida had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ali Matoub. Yazid Mérah-Benida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mourad Khalef in the 56th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Carrizo Springs FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rachid Teissier fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 61stth minute of the game Mourad Khalef who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carrizo Springs FC's Yazid Mérah-Benida was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mourad Khalef in the 63rd minute of play forced Carrizo Springs FC's goalkeeper Yazid Mérah-Benida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mouloud Mimoun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rachid Laref sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 67 played minutes Mount Holly got a freekick which was hit by Fouad Cohen-Tannoudji. Rachid Teissier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the match, Carrizo Springs FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mohammad Rimitti came free, but Yazid Mérah-Benida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carrizo Springs FC's Yazid Mérah-Benida proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Carrizo Springs FC from getting a goal against them. Mourad Khalef struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Yazid Mérah-Benida didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mount Holly. 81 minutes into the match, Carrizo Springs FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mourad Khalef came free, but Yazid Mérah-Benida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mouloud Mimoun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rachid Djebbour recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mouloud Mimoun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Mount Holly's zone, Mouloud Mimoun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faouzi Menguellet came out of the goal and Mouloud Mimoun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Mount Holly had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
