Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Faouzi Zarabi in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abdelmalek Boulmerka prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Abdelmalek Boulmerka stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amrani Allalou's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Abdelmalek Boulmerka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faouzi Zarabi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amrani Allalou recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Faouzi Zarabi came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Tuscaloosa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Faouzi Zarabi couldn't finish the play. Ali Djebbour received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Kamel Medjani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ali Djebbour fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kamel Medjani having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Tuscaloosa FC's zone, Noureddine Bensaoula stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kamel Medjani came out of the goal and Noureddine Bensaoula tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kamel Medjani made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ali Djebbour in the 39th minute. If Amrani Allalou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ali Djebbour fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kamel Medjani having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

52 minutes into the match, Noureddine Bensaoula had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kamel Medjani. Tuscaloosa FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Noureddine Bensaoula was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After 57 played minutes Bemidji got a freekick which was hit by Rafik Zoheir Amara. Faouzi Zarabi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Abdelmalek Boulmerka skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Noureddine Bensaoula sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Amrani Allalou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ali Djebbour struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Kamel Medjani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bemidji. A hard shot 76 in the game by Faouzi Zarabi from a close distance when the talented Abdelmalek Boulmerka managed to make a qualified save. Bemidji's players were relieved. In the 80th minute Amrani Allalou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdelmalek Boulmerka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kamel Medjani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Djebbour in the 84th minute of play. If Faouzi Zarabi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Ali Djebbour's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kamel Medjani was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. 92 minutes into the match, Ali Djebbour had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kamel Medjani.
