After a rather tough play, Wheaton's Mohamed Zaoui got a free kick in the 7th minute. Tuscaloosa FC's Kamel Medjani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rabah Boutella in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Rabah Boutella got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Tuscaloosa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rabah Boutella came free, but Kamel Medjani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Rabah Boutella notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Tuscaloosa FC's Kamel Medjani. Kamel Medjani was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Faouzi Zarabi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kamel Khaldi having to interfere. Kamel Khaldi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amrani Allalou, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. When Faouzi Zarabi came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Tuscaloosa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Faouzi Zarabi couldn't finish the play. If Rabah Boutella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Amrani Allalou to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Amrani Allalou managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tuscaloosa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amrani Allalou was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wheaton's Kamel Khaldi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amrani Allalou in the 55th minute of play. Kamel Medjani made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rabah Boutella in the 66th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amrani Allalou in the 67th minute of play forced Wheaton's goalkeeper Kamel Khaldi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Faouzi Zarabi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Kamel Khaldi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mohamed Zaoui during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tedj Oussalah took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kamel Khaldi. Wheaton's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Wheaton booed when Tuscaloosa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chadli Hamid Brahima didn't get a good kick on the ball. Soltani Medjani hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Kamel Medjani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdelaziz Matoub in the 76th minute of play. After 77 minutes, Tedj Oussalah mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tuscaloosa FC and the Wheaton players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 77 played minutes Tuscaloosa FC got a freekick which was hit by Tedj Oussalah. Abdelnacer Dahar got in the 78th minute a good position and tried a long shot which to a great surprise passed a very astonished Kamel Medjani. This was a shot which ended in a score of 1-2. 82 minutes into the game, Abdelaziz Matoub recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kamel Medjani. Abdelaziz Matoub showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Kamel Medjani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdelaziz Matoub in the 93rd minute of play.
