Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cheb Megharia started the match with the kick off. Nordine Lamine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Hameur Assad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ahmed Morceli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mebarek Djaout having to interfere. With a little luck, La Mesa's Mebarek Djaout got control of the ball when Tayeb Belhagj tried to sneak it across the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Hattiesburg fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 21st minute. Penalty! Leon Aziz walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. If Ahmed Morceli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Djamal Madouni fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Mesa's protests and gave Djamal Madouni a yellow card for diving instead. Mebarek Djaout showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmed Morceli in the 28th minute of the match. When La Mesa's Nordine Lamine in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hattiesburg's goalie prevented a goal. After 44 played minutes, La Mesa's Leon Aziz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hameur Assad came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in La Mesa reached it. If Nordine Lamine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

After a defensive mix-up in La Mesa's zone, Ahmed Morceli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mebarek Djaout came out of the goal and Ahmed Morceli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mebarek Djaout made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmed Morceli in the 57th minute of play. If Cheb Megharia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 63 minutes, Hameur Assad successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Cheb Megharia received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hameur Assad came out and tried to block the shot, but Cheb Megharia slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 64th minute. In the 71st minute Tayeb Belhagj shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mebarek Djaout saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ahmed Méniri fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Mesa's protests and gave Ahmed Méniri a yellow card for diving instead. Ahmed Méniri kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Tayeb Belhagj made a precise shot to the right of Mebarek Djaout. La Mesa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Cheb Megharia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nasserredine Zaoui charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nasserredine Zaoui the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th match minute, Hattiesburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nasserredine Zaoui to maneuver through the defense. Hameur Assad was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Leon Aziz. The La Mesa players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
