Ahmed Morceli got in the 6th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Fateh Khalef handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Hattiesburg's Hameur Assad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chaba Mihoubi in the 11th minute of play. 13 minutes into the game, Cheb Bougherra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. East Quogue AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hattiesburg the free kick. After a rather tough play, East Quogue AFC's Cheb Bougherra got a free kick in the 13th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Ahmed Morceli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hattiesburg's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmed Morceli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fateh Khalef breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cheb Bougherra hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute, Cheb Bougherra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Tayeb Belhagj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hattiesburg's Ahmed Morceli got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tayeb Belhagjs short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Fateh Khalef to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 36 minutes into the game, one of East Quogue AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 39th minute there was a penalty for Hattiesburg. Yahia Saadane stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Fateh Khalef. 1-0. If Tayeb Belhagj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chaba Mihoubi struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Hameur Assad didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for East Quogue AFC. In the 47th minute, Cheb Bougherra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hameur Assad was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ahmed Morceli stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute, Chaba Mihoubi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hameur Assad made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Amar Halimi sent off a good shot on target. Chaba Mihoubi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmed Morceli in the 68th minute of play forced East Quogue AFC's goalkeeper Fateh Khalef to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chaba Mihoubi might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hameur Assad. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chaba Mihoubi ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to East Quogue AFC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Chaba Mihoubi hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Ahmed Morceli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hattiesburg's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmed Morceli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The supporters of Hattiesburg booed when East Quogue AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cheb Bougherra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tayeb Belhagj received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Fateh Khalef tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cheb Djura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Chaba Mihoubi took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Hameur Assad to make any attempt to save it. Fateh Khalef took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmed Morceli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. East Quogue AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
