Muhammad Taha started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Calexico booed when Hohenwald AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Assia Haddadj didn't get a good kick on the ball. Madhi Mehenni kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Hamza Cherrad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mohamed Mimoun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Muhammad Taha in the 19th minute of play. Abd al-Aziz Ali didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 26th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. Mustapha El-Ouafi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Abd al-Aziz Ali made a huge save. Mustapha El-Ouafi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Muhammad Taha's late challenge caught a Hohenwald AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Muhammad Taha helped the player get up and apologised. In the 40th match minute, Calexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Muhammad Taha to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hamza Cherrad was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes in the game, Muhammad Taha dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After a rather tough play, Hohenwald AFC's Abderrahmane Belhagj got a free kick in the 54th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Hohenwald AFC's zone, Hamza Bouazza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mohamed Mimoun came out of the goal and Hamza Bouazza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hamza Cherrad scored 2-1 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Abd al-Aziz Ali, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Hamza Bouazza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute Hamza Cherrad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abd al-Aziz Ali saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the match Hamza Bouazza climbed in front of goal and pressed up 2-2 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Mohamed Mimoun. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
