He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ashland City reached it. After a rather tough play, Hampton Bays's Walid Djenia Lkbira got a free kick in the 5th minute. Muhammad Guendouz struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Mamaar Boulmerka didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hampton Bays. 15 minutes into the match, Ashland City's goal looked a bit too open when Nourredine Larfaoui came free, but Mamaar Boulmerka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 17th minute by Nourredine Larfaoui got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Lakhdar Nekkar was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 22 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ashland City fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 21st minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Mamaar Boulmerka, was totally fooled by Hampton Bays's Fadel Zidān, who 24 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When Hampton Bays's Nourredine Larfaoui in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ashland City's goalie prevented a goal. In the 30th minute, one of Ashland City:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ashland City. In the 37th minute, El Soltani got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 42nd minute, El Moussa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hamza Yahia was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After 46 minutes, Billel Bezzaz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hampton Bays and the Ashland City players grew even worse after the yellow card. Billel Bezzaz kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Hamza Yahia came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Ashland City's El Moussa. But to his dismay, El Moussa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Ismaël Soltani's late challenge caught a Ashland City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 70th minute, El Moussa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 75 minutes into the game, El Moussa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Hamza Yahia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mamaar Boulmerka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nourredine Larfaoui, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. El Soltani kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Muhammad Guendouz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mamaar Boulmerka having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, El Moussa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Hampton Bays supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ashland City's performance. The match ended with a win for Ashland City.
