Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Mustapha Derrida kicked off to start the match. Kamel Zemmamouche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Noureddine Sadi having to interfere. When East San Gabriel FC's Mustapha Derrida in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Grand Rapids's goalie prevented a goal. Kamel Zemmamouche recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Noureddine Firoud kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Kamel Zemmamouche fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 24 minutes into the match, Grand Rapids's goal looked a bit too open when Mustapha Derrida came free, but Noureddine Sadi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Noureddine Sadi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sid Ahmed Yahia in the 26th minute of play. If Kamel Zemmamouche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Grand Rapids fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Grand Rapids's Ferhat Zouba looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Ferhat Zouba came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Grand Rapids fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferhat Zouba couldn't finish the play.

When Daniel Fanon fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grand Rapids's protests and gave Daniel Fanon a yellow card for diving instead. Noureddine Sadi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mustapha Derrida in the 59th minute of play. Noureddine Firoud's late challenge caught a East San Gabriel FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Noureddine Firoud helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of East San Gabriel FC booed when Grand Rapids was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noureddine Firoud didn't get a good kick on the ball. Noureddine Sadi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mustapha Derrida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mounir Kermali received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Anthar Haddou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, Grand Rapids's goal looked a bit too open when Mustapha Derrida came free, but Noureddine Sadi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Daniel Fanon was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 73 minutes had been played. Daniel Fanon kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. When Mustapha Derrida came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the East San Gabriel FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mustapha Derrida couldn't finish the play. Noureddine Firoud received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Anthar Haddou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute Kamel Zemmamouche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Noureddine Sadi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grand Rapids's Noureddine Sadi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sid Ahmed Yahia in the 91st minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Noureddine Firoud hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Grand Rapids's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hameur Taha in the 97th minute. After taking down the ball on Grand Rapids's corner Noureddine Firoud fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Anthar Haddou quite easily take care of the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Grand Rapids walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
