Abdelnasser Aliche could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 50th minute of the match, but Noureddine Sadi made a huge save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Khalida Bey made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Grand Rapids defense, Khalida Bey kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Noureddine Sadi.
