Fodil Seghiri came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Bartonville's Maamar Belaout. But to his dismay, Maamar Belaout quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a little luck, Bartonville's Mehdi Khadra got control of the ball when Kamel Amara tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Kamel Amara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mehdi Khadra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kamel Amara in the 21st minute. When Charlottesville AFC's Rachid Meriem in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bartonville's goalie prevented a goal. Kamel Amara struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Mehdi Khadra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Charlottesville AFC. After 26 played minutes Charlottesville AFC got a freekick which was hit by Mourad Ziani. 31 minutes into the match, Charlottesville AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Halim Merbah came free, but Fodil Seghiri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32ndth minute of the game Rachid Meriem who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bartonville's Mehdi Khadra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mehdi Khadra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kamel Amara in the 44th minute. Bartonville's Mehdi Khadra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Bartonville from getting a goal against them. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rachid Meriem to strike the kick off in the second half. Halim Merbah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Fodil Seghiri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Halim Merbah got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 60th minute, Maamar Belaout got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 60 minutes into the game, Bartonville's Halim Merbah nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fodil Seghiri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bartonville would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
