When Rachid Gallaire came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Lawrenceburg AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rachid Gallaire couldn't finish the play. Knodi Tahar's late challenge caught a Lawrenceburg AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Knodi Tahar helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Lawrenceburg AFC booed when Mendota FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Knodi Tahar didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Lawrenceburg AFC's Abdelaziz Moussa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ali Khaled. That made the score 1-0 after 10 minutes of play. Rachid Gallaire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Ali Khaled tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. El Ulansi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cheb Derrida in the 17th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Cheb Derrida managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mendota FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cheb Derrida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. El Ulansi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lawrenceburg AFC's El Ulansi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cheb Derrida in the 32nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rachid Gallaire got free with Ali Khaled in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Mohamed Sadi fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lawrenceburg AFC's protests and gave Mohamed Sadi a yellow card for diving instead. Mohamed Sadi hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. El Ulansi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mohamed Kourichi in the 41st minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abdelaziz Moussa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A very good chance for a goal. 65 minutes into the game, Rabah Lelouch was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lawrenceburg AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mendota FC the free kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Mendota FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
