Belaid Belkheir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Samir Nabil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noureddine Kouri in the 16th minute of play forced Ceres's goalkeeper Rabah Meskine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Muhammad Djaout recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Noureddine Kouri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Rabah Meskine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Belaid Belkheir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Samir Nabil stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tayeb El-Ouafi's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Samir Nabil didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 31st minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. 39 minutes into the game, Virginia Gardens AFC's Noureddine Kouri nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rabah Meskine made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After a rather tough play, Ceres's Fadel Ighil got a free kick in the 45th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Belaid Belkheir to strike the kick off in the second half. Virginia Gardens AFC's Noureddine Kouri got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 52 minutes into the game, Robert Toumi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ceres's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Virginia Gardens AFC the free kick. Robert Toumi hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After 54 minutes, Tayeb Ahmed mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ceres and the Virginia Gardens AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th minute, Tayeb Ahmed hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Noureddine Kouri kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the game, Belaid Belkheir was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ceres's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Virginia Gardens AFC the free kick. Noureddine Kouri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Noureddine Kouri was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 60th minute. Virginia Gardens AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. With a little luck, Ceres's Rabah Meskine got control of the ball when Muhammad Djaout tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alain Mammeri in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Samir Nabil prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Samir Nabil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alain Mammeri, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Mohammad Bencheikh hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Alain Mammeri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samir Nabil having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Belaid Belkheir managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ceres's supporters rose to their feet, but Belaid Belkheir was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samir Nabil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rabah Meskine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Noureddine Kouri in the 85th minute of the match. Muhammad Djaout fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rabah Meskine having to interfere. Alain Mammeri's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Samir Nabil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ceres had won after a very even match.
