The supporters of Grants booed when Carleton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walid Gaouaoui didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 23 played minutes Carleton got a freekick which was hit by Walid Gaouaoui. Carleton's Mimoun Megharia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zoheir Dziri in the 25th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Madhi Saci during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Walid Gaouaoui managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carleton's supporters rose to their feet, but Walid Gaouaoui was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mimoun Ouid Boulahfane breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Khalida Brahami's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mimoun Ouid Boulahfane read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Walid Gaouaoui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Farid Fahima to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Grants getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Bendjedid Fanon hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Khalida Brahami in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mimoun Ouid Boulahfane prevented the ball from getting in the gole. During the 58th minute of the match Bendjedid Fanon completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Bendjedid Fanon a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 61st minute Walid Gaouaoui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mimoun Ouid Boulahfane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the game, Carleton's Khalida Brahami nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mimoun Ouid Boulahfane made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Farid Fahima kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, Carleton's Walid Gaouaoui sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mimoun Ouid Boulahfane narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mimoun Ouid Boulahfane came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Carleton's Walid Gaouaoui. But to his dismay, Walid Gaouaoui quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The supporters of Grants booed when Carleton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mahmoud Bouzid didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carleton's goalkeeper Mimoun Megharia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Khalida Brahami's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mimoun Ouid Boulahfane read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Walid Gaouaoui took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mimoun Ouid Boulahfane. Mimoun Ouid Boulahfane dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Mahmoud Bouzid hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Carleton defense, Zoheir Dziri kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mimoun Megharia. The Carleton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mimoun Megharia should have stopped the shot. After having played for 99 minutes, Abderrachid Zitouni managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carleton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abderrachid Zitouni was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Grants's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
