Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Mokdad Kourichi got the match started through his kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Maumee's goal looked a bit too open when Cheb Hamid came free, but Nordine Apap reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abdel Karim Kheyari recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 8th minute Mokdad Kourichi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdelmalek Zidān saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 8 minutes, Lakhdar Kermali mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the New Brighton and the Maumee players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, New Brighton's Lakhdar Kermali got a free kick in the 8th minute. 13 minutes into the game, Abdel Karim Kheyari cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cheb Hamid to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mokdad Kourichi in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abdelmalek Zidān saved New Brighton from getting behind. Abdel Karim Kheyari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdelmalek Zidān having to interfere. In the 84thth minute of the game Mokdad Kourichi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but New Brighton's Abdelmalek Zidān was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Abdel Karim Kheyari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abdelmalek Zidān made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mokdad Kourichi in the 91st minute of play. Abdelmalek Zidān made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Abdel Karim Kheyari sent off a good shot on target. Maumee's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
