The referee ignored New Egypt AFC's protests and gave Ahmed Merzekane a yellow card for diving instead. Ahmed Merzekane kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Chakib El-Hadi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nadir Sadmi in the 12th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Florentino Abancens managed to get in a good position for a shot. New Egypt AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Florentino Abancens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Khalida Bencherif breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Lathrop AFC defense, Amar Medaci kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Khalida Bencherif. The Lathrop AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Khalida Bencherif should have stopped the shot. Ahmed Merzekane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Khalida Bencherif having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Ahmed Merzekane managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 34th match minute, Lathrop AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ben Hadj Aïssa to maneuver through the defense. Khalida Bencherif made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmed Merzekane in the 35th minute of play. In the 46th minute Lathrop AFC were awarded a corner. Abdelnacer Bouteflika went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Abdelnacer Bouteflika got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Chakib El-Hadi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 47 minutes into the match, Florentino Abancens notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Lathrop AFC's Khalida Bencherif. Khalida Bencherif was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nadir Sadmi to make the kick off. Florentino Abancens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 56 minutes into the match, Mahmoud Djeballi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chakib El-Hadi. New Egypt AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mahmoud Djeballi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Florentino Abancens might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Khalida Bencherif. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Florentino Abancens ran back to his position shaking his head. Khalida Bencherif took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florentino Abancens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lathrop AFC's Khalida Bencherif proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Lathrop AFC from getting a goal against them. Florentino Abancens struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Khalida Bencherif didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New Egypt AFC. When the match was over New Egypt AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Lathrop AFC throughout the match.
