Amrani Sellal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Smail Hamouda having to interfere. Colonie AFC's Smail Hamouda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amrani Sellal in the 16th minute of play. Safy Morceli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Abdelhamid Metref received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Boughera Meriem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amrani Sellal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 24th minute, but Boughera Meriem got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Citrus Heights FC hanging dry this time. Daho Bilal hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Fadel Bedjaoui was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 44th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Amrani Sellal came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Citrus Heights FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amrani Sellal couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

52 minutes into the match, Citrus Heights FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abdelhamid Metref came free, but Boughera Meriem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 53 minutes, Abdelhamid Metref managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colonie AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abdelhamid Metref was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Smail Hamouda didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amrani Sellal went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Boughera Meriem stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abdelhamid Metref's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Citrus Heights FC's zone, Safy Morceli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boughera Meriem came out of the goal and Safy Morceli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Smail Hamouda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Amrani Sellal in the 81st minute. After having played for 82 minutes, Fadel Bedjaoui managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Citrus Heights FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fadel Bedjaoui was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yacine Benhamou made a great header on Citrus Heights FC's corner, it was just that Colonie AFC's Smail Hamouda managed to reach the ball for a save. Amrani Sellal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Smail Hamouda made a huge save. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Citrus Heights FC's goalkeeper Boughera Meriem, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
