The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Safy Hadjadj received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Belmadi Bourebbou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abd al-Aziz Amara hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 14 minutes into the match, Polo FC's Noureddine Chebal broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 15 minutes into the match, Safy Hadjadj notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of North River Shores FC's Belmadi Bourebbou. Belmadi Bourebbou was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 18thth minute of the game Adlène Maroc who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Polo FC's Ali Hamid Brahima was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 19 minutes into the match, North River Shores FC's Adlène Maroc sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ali Hamid Brahima narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in North River Shores FC's zone, Muhammad Ouadah stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Belmadi Bourebbou came out of the goal and Muhammad Ouadah tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Safy Hadjadj might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Belmadi Bourebbou. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Safy Hadjadj ran back to his position shaking his head. Hamid Saïd-Guerni's late challenge caught a North River Shores FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hamid Saïd-Guerni helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Polo FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Hamid Saïd-Guerni hit a great ball. With a little luck, North River Shores FC's Belmadi Bourebbou got control of the ball when Safy Hadjadj tried to sneak it across the goal line. Adlène Maroc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Ali Hamid Brahima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Polo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abdelaziz El-Hadi came free, but Ali Hamid Brahima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute, Abdelaziz El-Hadi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 43 minutes into the match, Polo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abdelaziz El-Hadi came free, but Ali Hamid Brahima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Polo FC's Ali Hamid Brahima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adlène Maroc in the 45th minute of play. Adlène Maroc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Muhammad Ouadah to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adlène Maroc got free with Ali Hamid Brahima in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Polo FC's Lakhdar Madjer got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Noureddine Chebal charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Noureddine Chebal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 55th minute, one of Polo FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Polo FC. Polo FC's Noureddine Chebal couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for North River Shores FC. Safy Hadjadj's late challenge caught a North River Shores FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Adlène Maroc could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Ali Hamid Brahima made a huge save. After 80 played minutes North River Shores FC got a freekick which was hit by Ahmed Reda Zidane. With his leg Ali Hamid Brahima managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when North River Shores FC's Adlène Maroc fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ali Hamid Brahima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdelaziz El-Hadi in the 83rd minute of play. Adlène Maroc who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Ali Hamid Brahima when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 87th minute Abdelaziz El-Hadi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Hamid Brahima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
