Quyon's Gail Brian proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Quyon from getting a goal against them. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Quyon's goalkeeper Gail Brian, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Rémi Lawrence had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frédéric Castaneda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elias Finley read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patrick Yarbrough got free with Gail Brian in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benedict Cunningham received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gail Brian came out and tried to block the shot, but Benedict Cunningham slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 32nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patrick Yarbrough got free with Gail Brian in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Quyon getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Frédéric Castaneda hit a great ball. In the 40th minute, Benedict Cunningham got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Patrick Yarbrough received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Gail Brian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Benedict Cunningham got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Ned Mayfield made the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, Colborne FC's Patrick Yarbrough made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gail Brian was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ned Mayfield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Octavio Courcelle's late challenge caught a Quyon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Octavio Courcelle helped the player get up and apologised. In the 66th match minute, Colborne FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octavio Courcelle to maneuver through the defense. Elias Finley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ned Mayfield in the 69th minute of play. Octavio Courcelle got his second yellow card in the match during the 73rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Gail Brian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Yarbrough in the 77th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Quyon's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Yarbrough came free, but Gail Brian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Patrick Yarbrough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Benedict Cunningham managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colborne FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Benedict Cunningham was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gail Brian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Patrick Yarbrough sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ned Mayfields short, quick shot in the 92ndth minute got Elias Finley to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Rémi Lawrence fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Finley having to interfere. Quyon's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
