The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Thad Legault had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. Daryl Burnett hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. A hard shot 11 in the game by Bruno Greer from a close distance when the talented Dave Lancaster managed to make a qualified save. Bobcaygeon FC's players were relieved. In the 11th match minute, Bobcaygeon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Avery Meyers to maneuver through the defense. Bruno Greer's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Dave Lancaster skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Dave Lancaster showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thad Legault in the 19th minute of the match. Bruno Greer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 28 minutes of play, Quebec AFC's Bruno Greer made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dave Lancaster was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Bobcaygeon FC's Taylor Goodwin in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Quebec AFC's goalie prevented a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thad Legault was the one to do the kick off. 65 minutes into the match, Bobcaygeon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmad Fairchild came free, but Dave Lancaster reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruno Greer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Thad Legault had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Bruno Greer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quebec AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bruno Greer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dave Lancaster breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thad Legault in the 72nd minute of play forced Bobcaygeon FC's goalkeeper Dave Lancaster to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruno Greer hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Bruno Greer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dave Lancaster having to interfere. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bobcaygeon FC's goalkeeper Dave Lancaster, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Quebec AFC's Thad Legault in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Bobcaygeon FC's Dave Lancaster played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thad Legault in the 85th minute of play. Quebec AFC's Bruno Greer got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bruno Greer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Dave Lancaster tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dave Lancaster made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thad Legault in the 90th minute of play. There was no doubt that Quebec AFC were the better team. Quebec AFC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
