In the 19th match minute, Oromocto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Russ Yoder to maneuver through the defense. Oromocto's Haywood Scruggs proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Oromocto from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Oromocto getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Eustache Farmer hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice moves Heath Read could shoot a difficult shot in the 23rd minute, which Haywood Scruggs however easily saved by the left post. Heath Read fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haywood Scruggs having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Stewart Berthelette managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bretona's supporters rose to their feet, but Stewart Berthelette was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Haywood Scruggs breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Oromocto fans' excitement grew in the 32nd match minute when Oromocto's Ali Sears looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ali Sears received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Ariel Howell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Bretona's Dale Weiss got a free kick in the 38th minute. Daren Phaneuf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bretona's Ariel Howell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daren Phaneuf in the 47th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ali Sears to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 73 minutes, Ali Sears managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oromocto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ali Sears was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stewart Berthelette in the 76th minute of play forced Oromocto's goalkeeper Haywood Scruggs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Stewart Berthelette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th match minute, Oromocto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Germain Marseau to maneuver through the defense. Haywood Scruggs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stewart Berthelette, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Haywood Scruggs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heath Read in the 94th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heath Read in the 98th minute of play forced Oromocto's goalkeeper Haywood Scruggs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Oromocto eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
