After a rather tough play, Ridgeville's Ira Altman got a free kick in the 5th minute. If Ira Altman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ira Altman might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sylvain Hampton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ira Altman ran back to his position shaking his head. Ridgeville's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Keith McCullough 13 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Régis Dennison in the 19th minute of play forced Zehner AFC's goalkeeper Sylvain Hampton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ira Altman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Ridgeville's zone, Waylon Swanson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brain Maloney came out of the goal and Waylon Swanson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 37th minute, Ridgeville's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Waylon Swanson fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ira Altman in the 39th minute of play forced Zehner AFC's goalkeeper Sylvain Hampton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sylvain Hampton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ira Altman in the 41st minute of the match. Ira Altman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sylvain Hampton having to interfere. In the 45thth minute of the game Ira Altman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zehner AFC's Sylvain Hampton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ira Altman made a kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match Ridgeville got a corner. Zehner AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cleveland Daniel ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Amédée Solis got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sylvain Hampton quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Régis Dennison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Sylvain Hampton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ridgeville's Bernardo Snyder got a free kick in the 58th minute. Régis Dennison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ira Altman in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sylvain Hampton saved Zehner AFC from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ira Altman in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sylvain Hampton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Zehner AFC defense, Régis Dennison kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sylvain Hampton. The Zehner AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sylvain Hampton should have stopped the shot. In the 90th minute, Ira Altman fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Ira Altman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Damien Lepage hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Régis Dennison struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Sylvain Hampton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ridgeville. In the 95th match minute, Zehner AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damien Lepage to maneuver through the defense. Ridgeville's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
