Edmund Flowers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Connie Hughes, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Theo Barrow struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Edmund Flowers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Toronto Thunder-Birds. With a little luck, Trinity AFC's Edmund Flowers got control of the ball when Sherman Engle tried to sneak it across the goal line. Christophe Summers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Edmund Flowers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Toronto Thunder-Birds booed when Trinity AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genaro Redding didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 14 minutes, Christophe Summers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Toronto Thunder-Birds and the Trinity AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 28 minutes, Carl Mosher mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Trinity AFC and the Toronto Thunder-Birds players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 28th minute, Carl Mosher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Connie Hughes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Connie Hughes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The supporters of Toronto Thunder-Birds booed when Trinity AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Philbert Siegel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Genaro Redding's late challenge caught a Toronto Thunder-Birds's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Sherman Engle's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edmund Flowers was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Trinity AFC's zone, Shaun Maheu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edmund Flowers came out of the goal and Shaun Maheu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 86thth minute of the game Sherman Engle who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Trinity AFC's Edmund Flowers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Sherman Engle's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edmund Flowers was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. In the 90th minute, Jame Gregg fired a really elegant long shot, but Antonio Ferland threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Toronto Thunder-Birds walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
