The crowd rose to their feet as Karl Fréchette kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Werner Johns. That made the score 1-0 in the 10 minute of play. Werner Johns made an important save on a dangerous shot by Earle Wood in the 14th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Bickerdike AFC's Karl Fréchette sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Werner Johns narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kenny Oliver's late challenge caught a Roberval's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kenny Oliver helped the player get up and apologised. After 20 played minutes Bickerdike AFC got a freekick which was hit by Kenny Oliver. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilson Newman in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Freeman Larivière saved Bickerdike AFC from getting behind. After 25 played minutes Bickerdike AFC got a freekick which was hit by Lothaire Dominguez. Roberval's Léon Presley got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Bickerdike AFC's Lothaire Dominguez got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 31st minute of the match Jorge Kellogg sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Freeman Larivière skillfully saved the ball. Earle Wood fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Werner Johns having to interfere. In the 34th match minute, Roberval was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alphonse Chandonnet to maneuver through the defense. Edgar Veronneau hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Werner Johns made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl Fréchette in the 44th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wilson Newman to strike the kick off in the second half. Karl Fréchette's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Werner Johns read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. In the 55th minute, Léon Presley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wilson Newman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Freeman Larivière showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilson Newman in the 58th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Léon Presley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Karl Fréchette came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Bickerdike AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl Fréchette couldn't finish the play. Roberval's Werner Johns played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Earle Wood in the 65th minute of play. When Bickerdike AFC's Karl Fréchette in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of Roberval booed when Bickerdike AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basile Christian didn't get a good kick on the ball. Werner Johns showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl Fréchette, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Lothaire Dominguez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Werner Johns read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. After some careless play in the Roberval defense, Karl Fréchette kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Werner Johns. The Roberval fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Werner Johns should have stopped the shot. If Earle Wood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roberval's Werner Johns played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basile Christian in the 96th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Roberval players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Bickerdike AFC.
