Tracey Tilley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darrin LeBatelier in the 6th minute of play. If James Wise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Ripley fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Ripley's Karl Spivey looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in Ripley's zone, Felipe Thomson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tracey Tilley came out of the goal and Felipe Thomson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpected shot in the 24th minute by James Wise got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. James Wise in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tracey Tilley, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling James Wise in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tracey Tilley prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alvaro Beverly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl Spivey in the 43rd minute of play. James Wise sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Karl Spivey was the one to do the kick off. If Ismael Weber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Léopold Boyd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ripley's goalkeeper Tracey Tilley, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 56th minute, Felipe Thomson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frances Ledford during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ismael Weber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tracey Tilley having to interfere. When Wingard's James Wise in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ripley's goalie prevented a goal. Karl Spiveys short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got Alvaro Beverly to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. James Wise walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lynn Ouellette got free with Alvaro Beverly in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alvaro Beverly took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl Spivey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 85 minutes into the match, Ripley's goal looked a bit too open when James Wise came free, but Tracey Tilley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ripley's goalkeeper Tracey Tilley, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hugo Raines hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. 90 minutes into the game, James Wise cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Tracey Tilley was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If James Wise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alvaro Beverly acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 98th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Humbert Irizarry. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Wingard fully deserved thier win.
