The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Frankie Engle hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Marco Wiseman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Theo Carignan in the 8th minute of play. The supporters of Kemptville AFC booed when Igluligaarjuk FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barney Becker didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute, Ezekiel Rouleau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carmelo Melvin was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 13th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Diego Boyer came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Igluligaarjuk FC's Frankie Engle. But to his dismay, Frankie Engle quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 21 played minutes Igluligaarjuk FC's Shawn Sierra stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Diego Boyer stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing Kemptville AFC of the goal. Igluligaarjuk FC's Shawn Sierra got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Shawn Sierra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 36 minutes into the match, Kemptville AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Frankie Engle came free, but Diego Boyer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frankie Engle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Diego Boyer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roscoe Bergeron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Wiseman having to interfere. Kemptville AFC's Brant Bourgouin got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roscoe Bergeron stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Diego Boyer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shawn Sierra in the 55th minute of play. Marco Wiseman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roscoe Bergeron in the 59th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Roscoe Bergeron put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Marco Wiseman. Marco Wiseman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Theo Carignan in the 70th minute. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Kemptville AFC's goalkeeper Diego Boyer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Frankie Engle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brant Bourgouin kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Willis Donovan charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Willis Donovan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. During the 83rd minute of the match Willis Donovan completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Willis Donovan a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Kemptville AFC's Willis Donovan got a free kick in the 84th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Sanderson in the 88th minute of play forced Kemptville AFC's goalkeeper Diego Boyer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Theo Carignan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kemptville AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Theo Carignan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Wiseman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match was over Kemptville AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Igluligaarjuk FC throughout the match.
