In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Taloyoak FC's goalkeeper Pedro Swenson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Paul Paulson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Pedro Swenson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th match minute, Taloyoak FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heriberto Beausoleil to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute, Robert Palacios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the match, Taloyoak FC's Steve Daly broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Pedro Swenson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dimitri Petty, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Tehkummah's Robert Palacios got a free kick in the 25th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Donat Bennett managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tehkummah's supporters rose to their feet, but Donat Bennett was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Swenson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Donat Bennett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Swenson having to interfere. Nathaniel Pina shot the penalty kick right outside the post. In the 37th minute, Heriberto Beausoleil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute, Salvador Earl left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Taloyoak FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After 48 minutes, Paul Paulson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tehkummah and the Taloyoak FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Paul Paulson hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
