The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Mohammed Bédard came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Gallows AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mohammed Bédard couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lon Morrison in the 8th minute of play forced Otterburne AFC's goalkeeper Donatien Mainville to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gallows AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Otterburne AFC the free kick. The supporters of Otterburne AFC booed when Gallows AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chi Greenberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 21 minutes, Donatien Mainville successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 25th minute Chung Wolf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ulrich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bryon Herman scored 0-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ulrich, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Gallows AFC's Lon Morrison slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Donatien Mainville. That made the score 1-1 after 39 minutes of play. Chung Wolf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ulrich having to interfere. Bryon Herman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Jonathan Ulrich tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Mohammed Bédard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gallows AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mohammed Bédard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donatien Mainville breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 55 minutes into the match, Otterburne AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Lon Morrison came free, but Donatien Mainville reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ulrich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bryon Herman, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. With a little luck, Gallows AFC's Jonathan Ulrich got control of the ball when Chung Wolf tried to sneak it across the goal line. Otterburne AFC's Donatien Mainville played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mohammed Bédard in the 75th minute of play. Donatien Mainville made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lon Morrison in the 79th minute of play. In the 84th minute, Davis Duran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Chung Wolf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Otterburne AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
