Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Joseph Reaves kicked off to start the match. After some careless play in the Cedars defense, Darron Carroll kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jewell Cooley. The Cedars fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jewell Cooley should have stopped the shot. Nolan Stone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kerry Boyd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joseph Reaves, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Nolan Stone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cedars's Benny Huppé shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 16th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Kerry Boyd but with some difficulty. Jewell Cooley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gérald Curtis in the 17th minute of the match. A collision led to Stormsurge FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Gérald Curtis hit a great ball. Kerry Boyd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nolan Stone, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jewell Cooley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darrell Gary in the 30th minute of play. Joseph Reaves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nolan Stone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Joseph Reaves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cedars's supporters rose to their feet, but Joseph Reaves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kerry Boyd breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 37th minute, Nolan Stone got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Stormsurge FC's zone, Nolan Stone stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kerry Boyd came out of the goal and Nolan Stone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joseph Reaves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After the first half Stormsurge FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gérald Curtis to strike the kick off in the second half. Stormsurge FC's Kerry Boyd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tony Vaillancourt in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stormsurge FC's goalkeeper Kerry Boyd, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Stormsurge FC's zone, Jermaine Dodier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kerry Boyd came out of the goal and Jermaine Dodier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Tony Vaillancourt came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Cedars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tony Vaillancourt couldn't finish the play. After 75 played minutes Stormsurge FC got a freekick which was hit by Darell Block. Benny Huppé struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Kerry Boyd didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cedars. If Nolan Stone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Joseph Reaves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kerry Boyd was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. Nolan Stone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Cedars booed when Stormsurge FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darron Carroll didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cedars's Nolan Stone got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kerry Boyd made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nolan Stone in the 91st minute of play. The Cedars manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Stormsurge FC to win.
