Theirn Hawthorne hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stewart Paré during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Randy Little made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Morgan Holland in the 11th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Alliance AFC's zone, Garret Stover stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tyrone Randle came out of the goal and Garret Stover tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tyrone Randle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilford Begin in the 17th minute. Randy Little showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jackson Wheeler in the 19th minute of the match. Randy Little stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Morgan Holland's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. If Morgan Holland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Morgan Holland's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Randy Little was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. 37 minutes into the match, Sandwich AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Morgan Holland came free, but Randy Little reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nathaniel Clément's late challenge caught a Alliance AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nathaniel Clément helped the player get up and apologised. 40 minutes into the game, Jackson Wheeler cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Randy Little was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jackson Wheeler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Randy Little tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute of the match Alliance AFC got a corner. Sandwich AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Emmanuel McClendon ran over to the corner to take the kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Garret Stover made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Morgan Holland in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Randy Little saved Sandwich AFC from getting behind. In the 55th minute, Jackson Wheeler left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alliance AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After 59 played minutes Sandwich AFC got a freekick which was hit by Nathaniel Clément. Emmanuel McClendon, 60 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Morgan Holland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tyrone Randle didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Garret Stover went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Randy Little took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jackson Wheeler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Alliance AFC booed when Sandwich AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stewart Paré didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sandwich AFC's zone, Jackson Wheeler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Randy Little came out of the goal and Jackson Wheeler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Morgan Holland recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jackson Wheeler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Randy Little having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Nathaniel Clément hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Morgan Holland in the 79th minute of play forced Sandwich AFC's goalkeeper Randy Little to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jackson Wheeler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Randy Little having to interfere. Sandwich AFC's Randy Little played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Morgan Holland in the 86th minute of play. After having played for 93 minutes, Wilford Begin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sandwich AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilford Begin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Randy Little showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Morgan Holland in the 95th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Morgan Holland in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Randy Little prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Alliance AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
