Thierry Lynch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barton Pierson in the 9th minute of the match. Nathaniel Finch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mitchell Foley having to interfere. Constantin Dalton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Mitchell Foley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberta FC's Thierry Lynch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barton Pierson in the 21st minute of play. In the 21st match minute, Alberta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Constantin Dalton to maneuver through the defense. Thierry Lynch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerardo Marcoux, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. If Nathaniel Finch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nathaniel Finch might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mitchell Foley. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nathaniel Finch ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Barton Pierson in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thierry Lynch prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 37 minutes, Kendrick Lagrange managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tufenkbros FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kendrick Lagrange was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Barton Pierson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tufenkbros FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Barton Pierson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thierry Lynch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 43 played minutes Alberta FC got a freekick which was hit by Constantin Dalton. Darrick Booth's late challenge caught a Tufenkbros FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Darrick Booth helped the player get up and apologised. Alberta FC's Thierry Lynch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barton Pierson in the 47th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When Nathaniel Finch came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Alberta FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nathaniel Finch couldn't finish the play.
