Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Pons Gonzales made the kick off and thus started the match. Mohammed Peacock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Simms, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute, Brendon Atkins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Simms in the 13th minute of play forced Riverton's goalkeeper Mohammed Peacock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Cumberland's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldo Lange came free, but Wesley Joyce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Shannon Sabourin came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Riverton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shannon Sabourin couldn't finish the play. Osvaldo Lange sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Osvaldo Lange had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Osvaldo Lange fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wesley Joyce having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Riverton's Brady Carr got a free kick in the 37th minute. Shannon Sabourin might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wesley Joyce. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Shannon Sabourin ran back to his position shaking his head. Mohammed Peacock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Simms, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Riverton's Shannon Sabourin got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Shannon Sabourin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wesley Joyce having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Osvaldo Lange to strike the kick off in the second half. Wesley Joyce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shannon Sabourin in the 51st minute of play. Mckinley Chandler kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After 58 minutes of play, Cumberland's John Simms made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mohammed Peacock was left in no man's land by his defense there! Osvaldo Lange recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 75 minutes into the game, Riverton's Osvaldo Lange nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wesley Joyce made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 78 minutes into the game, Philippe Bruner was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Riverton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cumberland the free kick. If Shannon Sabourin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osvaldo Lange spun around in front of the goal 82 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Cumberland's goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Osvaldo Lange managed to get in a good position for a shot. Riverton's supporters rose to their feet, but Osvaldo Lange was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wesley Joyce breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldo Lange in the 90th minute of play forced Cumberland's goalkeeper Wesley Joyce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osvaldo Lange in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wesley Joyce prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mohammed Peacock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pons Gonzales in the 93rd minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Cumberland's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldo Lange came free, but Wesley Joyce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Riverton's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
