The tension between the Dawson and the Verona players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jeramy Lafond hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After 8 played minutes Dawson got a freekick which was hit by Isiah Marino. Eugenio Conley hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. If Isiah Marino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolf Bérubé sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rolf Bérubé fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ambroise Smiley having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brady Donahue during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 1-0 came in the 37th minute when Jc Burrell all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Ambroise Smiley. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Isiah Marino was the one to do the kick off. Jeramy Lafond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Verona's Wally McCollum proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Verona from getting a goal against them. After 66 played minutes, Verona's Jc Burrell shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ambroise Smiley came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Verona reached it. After a rather tough play, Dawson's Eugenio Conley got a free kick in the 66th minute. Isiah Marino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Wally McCollum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute of the match Hilario Valentin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ambroise Smiley skillfully saved the ball. Rolf Bérubé struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Ambroise Smiley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Verona. If Rolf Bérubé had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute, Douglass Rankin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Verona's Wally McCollum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicky Knox in the 91st minute of play. A collision led to Dawson getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Eugenio Conley hit a great ball. The Dawson players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Verona from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
