Émile Dufresne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hilario Kearney in the 37th minute of the match. Émile Dufresne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Glenn Roach, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. If Hilario Kearney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hilario Kearney in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Émile Dufresne prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Glenn Roach to strike the kick off in the second half. The Akviligjuaq FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Émile Dufresne should have stopped the shot. 86 minutes into the match, FC Val da's Hilario Kearney sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Émile Dufresne narrowly saved just below the crossbar. FC Val da's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
