Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Glenn Roach took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Barrie SC's zone, Cesaire Lang stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stephan Chambers came out of the goal and Cesaire Lang tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hilario Kearney got free with Stephan Chambers in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Stephan Chambers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hilario Kearney, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Stephan Chambers made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Hilario Kearney sent off a good shot on target. In the 13th minute, Hilario Kearney ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stephan Chambers was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After 19 played minutes Barrie SC got a freekick which was hit by Teodoro Bisaillon. Stephan Chambers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glenn Roach, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ervin Hickman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Pete Tate tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, FC Val da's goal looked a bit too open when Teodoro Bisaillon came free, but Pete Tate reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stephan Chambers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glenn Roach, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute Glenn Roach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stephan Chambers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stephan Chambers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glenn Roach in the 48th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Ervin Hickman made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Glenn Roach in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stephan Chambers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ervin Hickman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Pete Tate tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 60 played minutes FC Val da got a freekick which was hit by Cesaire Lang. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Val da's goalkeeper Pete Tate, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ervin Hickman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pete Tate read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. The referee showed Paul Rowley the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Barrie SC booed when FC Val da was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paul Rowley didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Hilario Kearney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
