Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Looma's Abe Querry started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes, Alec Chicoine made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Looma's Joseph Whitney tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Looma's zone, Carmine Broussard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joseph Whitney came out of the goal and Carmine Broussard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 8 minutes into the match, Looma's goal looked a bit too open when Carmine Broussard came free, but Joseph Whitney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th minute, Alvin Curry hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 12 minutes into the game, Abe Querry was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Looma's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Parrsborough FC the free kick. After 12 played minutes Looma got a freekick which was hit by Abe Querry. In the 13th minute, Josh Warner sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Looma's Joseph Whitney didn't even have to move. Carmine Broussard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joseph Whitney read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Parrsborough FC's Alec Chicoine sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joseph Whitney narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Larry Wong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 26 minutes, Alec Chicoine managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Parrsborough FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alec Chicoine was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joseph Whitney showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvin Curry in the 28th minute of the match. When Parrsborough FC's Alvin Curry in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Looma's goalie prevented a goal. Abe Querry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lincoln Wetzel having to interfere. After 37 minutes, Larry Wong mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Looma and the Parrsborough FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 40th minute of the match Parrsborough FC got a corner. Looma's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Josh Warner ran over to the corner to take the kick. Looma's Joseph Whitney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmine Broussard in the 41st minute of play. If Carmine Broussard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carmine Broussard in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joseph Whitney saved Looma from getting behind. If Carmine Broussard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Joseph Whitney showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alec Chicoine in the 54th minute of the match. Joseph Whitney made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carmine Broussard in the 56th minute. If Alec Chicoine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carmine Broussard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Joseph Whitney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alec Chicoine in the 64th minute of play forced Looma's goalkeeper Joseph Whitney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute Alec Chicoine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joseph Whitney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alec Chicoine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joseph Whitney having to interfere. Carmine Broussard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joseph Whitney read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. With a little luck, Looma's Joseph Whitney got control of the ball when Josef Goguen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alvin Curry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Joseph Whitney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute of the match, Carmine Broussard got a very nice opportunity to score, but Joseph Whitney was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 87th minute, Alec Chicoine fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Joseph Whitney, passed just outside the right post. Carmine Broussard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joseph Whitney having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Alec Chicoine managed to get in a good position for a shot. Parrsborough FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alec Chicoine was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joseph Whitney breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Parrsborough FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
