Valemount's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GALATASARAY FC the free kick. In the 2nd minute, Shad Phillips hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 11 minutes, Thanh McGraw managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GALATASARAY FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thanh McGraw was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Augustin Gamelin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amédée Bolton having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Valemount's Humbert Merrill got a free kick in the 15th minute. If Avery Conklin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Augustin Gamelin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Amédée Bolton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amédée Bolton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thanh McGraw, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Shad Phillips was shown his second yellow card after 25 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 26th match minute, Valemount was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shad Phillips to maneuver through the defense. Malik Ibarra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Corbett having to interfere. Thanh McGraw sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind GALATASARAY FC's goalkeeper Carlos Corbett, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 42 minutes, Humbert Merrill mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Valemount and the GALATASARAY FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Malik Ibarra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Carlos Corbett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Thanh McGraw fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amédée Bolton having to interfere. Amédée Bolton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thanh McGraw in the 71st minute. In the 73rd minute Malik Ibarra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Corbett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the game, Valemount's Humbert Merrill nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Corbett made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. When Malik Ibarra came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Valemount fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Malik Ibarra couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Valemount getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Warren Sorensen hit a great ball. Thanh McGraw sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the match, Valemount's goalkeeper Amédée Bolton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thanh McGraw. If Thanh McGraw had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 92 minutes, Thanh McGraw managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GALATASARAY FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thanh McGraw was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
