The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tory Adkins hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute, Cornelius Cahill left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Plunkett fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Graham Spangler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cornelius Cahill, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. When Waldo Shelton came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the L.A. Galaxy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Waldo Shelton couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, L.A. Galaxy's Boniface Doiron got a free kick in the 28th minute. Tory Adkins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Graham Spangler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quinn Lemaître, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Plunkett's Onesime Hyatt got control of the ball when Boniface Doiron tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

A collision led to L.A. Galaxy getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Vincenzo Presley hit a great ball. Lionel Hatcher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the match, Cornelius Cahill dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Graham Spangler, 0-3. 67 minutes into the match, L.A. Galaxy's goalkeeper Graham Spangler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tory Adkins. With a little luck, L.A. Galaxy's Graham Spangler got control of the ball when Tory Adkins tried to sneak it across the goal line. 79 minutes into the game, Plunkett's Tory Adkins nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Graham Spangler made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. If Quinn Lemaître had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tory Adkins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Graham Spangler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Cornelius Cahill fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After having played for 88 minutes, Tory Adkins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Plunkett's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tory Adkins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Plunkett players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
