MacKay AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gail Jimenez in the 20th minute. The corner led MacKay AFC's Gail Jimenez to fire away a dangerous shot which Clark Goss despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ariel Ruth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nathanial Walker in the 25th minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Jarrett McNamara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 27 minutes into the game, Rodrick Stacy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. cemelin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MacKay AFC the free kick. Rodrick Stacy kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marion Woody in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Clark Goss saved cemelin from getting behind. After some careless play in the cemelin defense, Ian Cantrell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Clark Goss. The cemelin fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Clark Goss should have stopped the shot. Ian Cantrell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Clark Goss tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juan McKinley took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Clark Goss. cemelin's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 47th minute, Rodrick Stacy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marion Woody sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half MacKay AFC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ian Cantrell was the one to do the kick off. Nathanial Walker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ariel Ruth having to interfere. Duane Burnham hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Cantrell in the 68th minute of play forced cemelin's goalkeeper Clark Goss to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matt Wang hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute, Marion Woody got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 72nd minute, Ian Cantrell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Clark Goss was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Marion Woody fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clark Goss having to interfere. After having played for 80 minutes, Jarrett McNamara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. cemelin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jarrett McNamara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Marion Woody came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the MacKay AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marion Woody couldn't finish the play. The MacKay AFC fans' excitement grew in the 93rd match minute when MacKay AFC's Ian Cantrell looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Ian Cantrell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded MacKay AFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than cemelin.
