Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Leland Trejo started the match with the kick off. Garfield Sparks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tracy Bélanger didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 11th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. In the 20th minute, Claude Cuillerier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 24 minutes into the match, Garfield Sparks had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tracy Bélanger. MTL Impact's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Garfield Sparks was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 32nd minute, Garfield Sparks fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Mike Moïse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Claude Cuillerier during the 48th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 50 minutes into the game, Barton Aucoin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Tracy Bélanger was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Mike Moïse made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice moves Leland Trejo could shoot a difficult shot in the 61st minute, which Bruno Meredith however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garfield Sparks in the 65th minute of play forced MTL Impact's goalkeeper Tracy Bélanger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tracy Bélanger came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Delph's Mike Moïse. But to his dismay, Mike Moïse quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. After 71 minutes, Garfield Sparks mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Delph and the MTL Impact players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Delph's Garfield Sparks got a free kick in the 71st minute. 75 minutes into the match, Leland Trejo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bruno Meredith, 4-1. When Reuben Sevier fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Delph's protests and gave Reuben Sevier a yellow card for diving instead. In the 82nd match minute, Delph was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reuben Sevier to maneuver through the defense. After 87 played minutes Delph got a freekick which was hit by Mike Moïse. MTL Impact's Tracy Bélanger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mike Moïse in the 89th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garfield Sparks in the 92nd minute of play forced MTL Impact's goalkeeper Tracy Bélanger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Mike Moïse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Delph were victorious despite being under pressure from MTL Impact for much of the match.
