Lincoln Pinneau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulrich Sampson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lincoln Pinneau stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ulrich Sampson's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. In the 14th minute, Erick Lemaître ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lincoln Pinneau was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 16th minute, Erick Lemaître got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Erick Lemaître had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Erick Lemaître came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Mancity Eagles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erick Lemaître couldn't finish the play. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Whitehead AFC's goalkeeper Lincoln Pinneau, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Whitehead AFC's Lincoln Pinneau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erick Lemaître in the 27th minute of play. In the 28th minute Ulrich Sampson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lincoln Pinneau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ulrich Sampson came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Mancity Eagles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulrich Sampson couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Erick Lemaître managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mancity Eagles's supporters rose to their feet, but Erick Lemaître was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lincoln Pinneau breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 53 minutes in the game, Ulrich Sampson fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Lincoln Pinneau having to interfere. Howard Friedman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 57 minutes into the game, Whitehead AFC's Hunter Dennison nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nicolas McMullen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Ulrich Sampson struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Lincoln Pinneau didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mancity Eagles. Howard Friedman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Howard Friedman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Nicolas McMullen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hunter Dennison in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicolas McMullen saved Mancity Eagles from getting behind. Hunter Dennison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th match minute, Mancity Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Markus Barber to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute, Hunter Dennison got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Howard Friedman came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Whitehead AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Howard Friedman couldn't finish the play. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mancity Eagles would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
