Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Vernon Medley took the kick off in the first half of the match. Rémi Beauchamps kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. In the 4th minute of the match, Sam Richards got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alvin Whittington was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Alvin Whittington made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vernon Medley in the 5th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Atherley AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Warren Fry came free, but Chas Presley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Warren Fry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dorian Brodeur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Chas Presley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vernon Medley's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alvin Whittington read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Montreal Unionists's goal looked a bit too open when Brant Givens came free, but Alvin Whittington reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Jarvis Wyatt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alvin Whittington made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Sam Richards sent off a good shot on target. Warren Fry recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 37th minute, Keenan Cartwright got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 38th minute, Warren Fry got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alvin Whittington took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vernon Medley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute, Warren Fry ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Chas Presley was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The Atherley AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Montreal Unionists were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Warren Fry to make the kick off. Chas Presley stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Warren Fry's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Vernon Medley kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Atherley AFC's Joel Blake got a free kick in the 56th minute. Warren Fry recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shirley Glover in the 60th minute of play forced Atherley AFC's goalkeeper Chas Presley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Montreal Unionists's goal looked a bit too open when Vernon Medley came free, but Alvin Whittington reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 65 minutes into the game, Atherley AFC's Sam Richards nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alvin Whittington made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Dorian Brodeur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Chas Presley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Shirley Glover had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 73 minutes, Dorian Brodeur made it 2-3 with a short kick to the right side. Atherley AFC's Chas Presley tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 76th minute, Sam Richards left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atherley AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. In the 80th minute Sam Richards shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvin Whittington saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 81 minutes, Jarvis Wyatt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atherley AFC and the Montreal Unionists players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpected shot in the 83rd minute by Warren Fry got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Shirley Glover sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the match, Montreal Unionists's goal looked a bit too open when Sam Richards came free, but Alvin Whittington reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Warren Fry came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Montreal Unionists fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Warren Fry couldn't finish the play. Montreal Unionists played a much better game than Atherley AFC and deserved their victory. The Atherley AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
