The supporters of Ottawa Fury FC booed when Moose FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Jacques didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Earle Hollis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Moose FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Earle Hollis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sébastien McCauley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sébastien McCauley made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raymond Combs in the 18th minute. Josue Hood sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dwayne Casey during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 31 minutes of play, Moose FC's Abel Jacques made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 44th minute, Moose FC's Earle Hollis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. With a little luck, Ottawa Fury FC's Sébastien McCauley got control of the ball when Raymond Combs tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Josue Hood made a kick off. After having played for 61 minutes, Raymond Combs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Moose FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raymond Combs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Raymond Combs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Raymond Combs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sébastien McCauley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raymond Combs in the 64th minute of the match. Sébastien McCauley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raymond Combs in the 75th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ottawa Fury FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 77th minute. Penalty! If Sam Miner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
