Lou Bergman was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Brent Parham showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 17 minute of play. Josh Glenn struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Lou Bergman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CS Impact de Montreal. Josh Glenn did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-0 to the left of a surprised Lou Bergman 25 minutes into the match. If Brent Parham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lou Bergman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ariel Dupre in the 30th minute. 32 minutes into the match, Brent Parham notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Vauquelin CN's Lou Bergman. Lou Bergman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 40 minutes into the match, Vauquelin CN's goalkeeper Lou Bergman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brent Parham. In the 43rd minute of the game, Siim Rodin landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Irvin Post during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. CS Impact de Montreal made a substitution. Reyes Blair replaced Siim Rodin. A collision led to Vauquelin CN getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Irvin Post hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Vauquelin CN defense, Ariel Dupre kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lou Bergman. The Vauquelin CN fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lou Bergman should have stopped the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fredric Lebel was the one to do the kick off. Lou Bergman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ariel Dupre in the 53rd minute of play. If Brent Parham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Josh Glenn came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the CS Impact de Montreal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Josh Glenn couldn't finish the play. Josh Glenn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brent Parham blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lou Bergman having to make a save. When the referee ended the match the CS Impact de Montreal players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
