It was a well-played corner which Julius Chen managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Saul Cilio in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. Persepolis F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Santos Perez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saul Cilio in the 55th minute of the match. In the 57th minute Saul Cilio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Perez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
