In the 6thth minute of the game Galeno Uribe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Malpaso AFC's Amado Villate was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Luciano Marentos came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Malpaso AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luciano Marentos couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luciano Marentos got free with Bartolo Avecilla in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ostadar Gimilio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amado Villate having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Opoqueri FC's zone, Arlo Castillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bartolo Avecilla came out of the goal and Arlo Castillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luciano Marentos got free with Bartolo Avecilla in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luciano Marentos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Bartolo Avecilla made a huge save. Luciano Marentos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Paulo Ponga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Opoqueri FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Victor Echeto hit a great ball. Luciano Marentos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bartolo Avecilla having to interfere. In the 33rd match minute, Opoqueri FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Echeto to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes had been played when some careless play by Opoqueri FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Iraunkor Rafales was slow to take the kick. During this time Malpaso AFC's players had a chance to rest. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Galeno Uribe made the kick off in the second half. Bartolo Avecilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luciano Marentos in the 52nd minute of the match. 54 minutes into the match, Luciano Marentos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bartolo Avecilla. Opoqueri FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luciano Marentos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Victor Echeto kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Bartolo Avecilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luciano Marentos, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Dani Madrid's late challenge caught a Opoqueri FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dani Madrid helped the player get up and apologised. After 62 played minutes Malpaso AFC got a freekick which was hit by Dani Madrid. A collision led to Opoqueri FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Lazcano Val hit a great ball. If Arlo Castillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 79 minutes, Arlo Castillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malpaso AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arlo Castillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 87 minutes into the game, Gaufred Mayen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Opoqueri FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malpaso AFC the free kick. In the 87th minute, Gaufred Mayen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ulizes Pueyo fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Malpaso AFC's protests and gave Ulizes Pueyo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Malpaso AFC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Ulizes Pueyo hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Galeno Uribe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Opoqueri FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Galeno Uribe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amado Villate breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 92nd minute, Galeno Uribe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Malpaso AFC's Arlo Castillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bartolo Avecilla narrowly saved just below the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Opoqueri FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Malpaso AFC.
