Efren Abello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leandro Prados having to interfere. The supporters of Portugalete FC booed when Pisucha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mendiko Alvaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Dolfo Abastas came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Portugalete FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dolfo Abastas couldn't finish the play. If Samuel Ubidea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ganix Mescua sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 26 minutes, Donostia Noceda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pisucha and the Portugalete FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 26 played minutes Pisucha got a freekick which was hit by Donostia Noceda. Leandro Prados showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Efren Abello, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Rubio Abaurre was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Samuel Ubidea showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 30 minute of play. In the 34th minute, Ganix Mescua got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Sansone Abajas fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Portugalete FC's protests and gave Sansone Abajas a yellow card for diving instead. After 42 played minutes Portugalete FC got a freekick which was hit by Sansone Abajas. Samuel Ubidea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ganix Mescua received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Rubio Abaurre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dolfo Abastas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Rafael Abajas had to leave the field with a concussion. After a rather tough play, Pisucha's Donostia Noceda got a free kick in the 54th minute. Ganix Mescua's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rubio Abaurre read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. If Zilar Joseph had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Portugalete FC's Dante Abadia got a free kick in the 61st minute. When Juanito Varlett came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Pisucha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juanito Varlett couldn't finish the play. Gabrio Abaunza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Leandro Prados tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pisucha's Leandro Prados proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Pisucha from getting a goal against them. Samuel Ubidea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 85 minutes into the match, Pisucha's Ganix Mescua sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rubio Abaurre narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Efren Abello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 92nd minute, Juanito Varlett ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rubio Abaurre was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ganix Mescua in the 95th minute of play forced Portugalete FC's goalkeeper Rubio Abaurre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Portugalete FC booed when Pisucha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juanito Varlett didn't get a good kick on the ball. 99 minutes in the game Nikola Abadia after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Leandro Prados. A very good opportunity. Pisucha's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
